Does the UK really need four jazz magazines?
With all the excellent blogs and online jazz coverage out there, does the UK really need four specialist jazz publications? There isn't enough consumer demand or advertising to make them all viable and just one could easily cover the necessary reviews, editorial, features and the all-important gig guide. But that sums up the problem with the UK jazz business - too many independent setups each with their own agenda. Imagine how much they could achieve if they started working together.
